Peter Chontos is a real estate transactional attorney and has been in practice for over 30 years. He is the Senior Associate Attorney in the Real Estate Division of Glantz & Glantz, P.A., practicing at the firm since 1999.
Peter has conducted workshops at Nova Southeastern University, addressing the topics of Mortgages, Loan Modifications, Foreclosures and Short Sales. He was also a speaker before the 2008 Florida Bar Annual Meeting on the topic of Mortgage Drafting.
A member of the State Bars of Florida, New York, Minnesota, Washington, District of Columbia, and the Supreme Court of the United States, Peter received his Juris Doctorate from the New York Law School in 1976. He earned his undergraduate degree from The King’s College in Briarcliff Manor in New York, and has also earned a Master of Divinity degree in 1995.
As the firm’s Renaissance man, Peter has quite a remarkable and varied background. He is an accomplished musician, including his experiences as a concertmaster in high school and as a violinist with the Denver Arts Symphony Orchestra. He is also a gourmet chef, a horticulturalist, a real estate broker and an antiquarian.
