Donna Rice Owens is a Tax Attorney and has been in practice for 29 years. She is a Senior Associate Attorney in the Tax Division of Glantz & Glantz, P.A., practicing with the firm since 2001.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Donna graduated from Pomona College, in Claremont, California in 1977, and earned her Juris Doctorate at the University of California at Berkeley-Boalt Hall School of Law in 1980.
She is a former Senior Trial Litigator for the Internal Revenue Service District Counsel Office in San Francisco, California. While in California she also served as a Board Member for the Judicare Legal Services Project, providing free legal services to the Bay Area's disadvantaged.
She has also served as an Assistant Public Defender in Vallejo, California and Miami, Florida, where she served in that office's Appellate Division.
Prior to joining the firm she was in private practice in Dade County, working primarily in tax and employment law.
Donna is admitted to the State Bars of California and Florida, and is licensed to practice in the United States Tax Court and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of California and the Southern District of Florida.
She is a member of the National Bar Association and the Florida Association of Women Lawyers and has served for three years as a Florida Lemon Law Arbitrator.
When not working, Donna loves to read and travel. She enjoys spending time with her family which includes two very busy girls.
